Vegan and vegetarian
Cold pressed coconut oil is excellent for preparing vegetarian and vegan dishes, because it is one of the few saturated fats of completely vegetable origin. It is therefore a suitable substitute for butter and margarine when preparing (raw) desserts as well as other dishes. You can also prepare delicious vegan chocolate with it, or it can be used in smoothies as a milk substitute.
Versatile use
Extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil can be used as a high-energy individual dish, or as a spread. When baking, you can replace at least half of the required fat (butter) with coconut oil. When baking or sautéing eggs, fish, meat, or vegetables, you can always add coconut oil.
Suitable for heating
Extra virgin coconut oil contains mostly saturated fatty acids, so it is especially suitable for heating, because the oil is cold pressed and has been never overheated.
Stable
Due to its saturation, extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil is stable even at high temperatures (up to 177 °C). It is much more stable when frying than other unrefined vegetable fats. During frying, coconut oil does not splatter and reaches a high temperature.
