Cobio’s coconut oil is harvested and processed on unspoiled farms on the islands of the South Pacific and the east coast of India, without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, solvents or other artificial additives. Cobio’s coconut oil and its production sites have received EU organic farming certificate for processing and filling.
Extra virgin, cold-pressed
Cobio’s coconut oil Malaita is extra virgin, because it is obtained in the first and the only pressing within less than one hour of opening the coconut. Cobio’s coconut oil Kerala is obtained with cold pressing method, which is possible due to the relatively low temperature during the drying of coconut and then pressing it without heat.
Processed manually (DME®)
The DME® process (Direct Micro Expelling) allows for manual processing of Cobio’s coconut oil within less than one hour of opening the coconuts. The result is the oil Malaita, cold pressed extra virgin coconut oil of the highest quality, which has retained its genuine flavour, original composition, and all the beneficial properties.

45-53% of the total fatty acid contents in the extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil is represented by the valuable lauric acid (C12).
